Drake is a master of the rollout, and fans had heavy speculation regarding a series of recent social post, sparking some to think a new album was coming. Drake has since confirmed that Fear Of Missing Out is a film project that will be unveiled in full this week.
Last month, Drake posted on his Instagram page on August 12 a carousel of images featuring members of his family with “FOMO 2026” in the caption. That was later followed by an August 21 post featuring what appeared to be a CD case with the words “Fear Of Missing Out” emblazoned on the front.
On September 3, another post featuring the film’s title was captioned “SEPT 15 YOUTUBE 9PM,” which suggested a music video but there was still no confirmation. Last week, the OVO honcho posted an side profile image of himself draped in a Canadian flag with the caption reading, again, “FOMO 2026.”
Fast forward to this past weekend, the mystery behind Fear Of Missing Out was finally revealed with the rapper writing, “FOMO A not so short film directed and scored by the family SEPTEMBER 15.”
The brief teaser shows the Iceman star piloting a speed boat in some warm environment with a sultry voiceover posing a philosophical question.
Check out the teaser below. Fear Of Missing Out debuts on YouTube at 9 PM ET.
