As we zoom toward Grand Theft Auto VI’s November 19 release date, Rockstar Games continues its steady, calculated announcements for the highly anticipated video game.

Grand Theft Auto VI is more than just your typical video game; it’s a whole experience. We got an extended look at the game on Netflix, which turned out to be a massive success despite complaints about being behind a paywall, and now we know there will be a music companion alongside the game’s release.

After seeing teases from the likes of Travis Scott, Metro Boomin, and others, we now know exactly how they will be involved with the game. Rockstar Games announced that Grand Theft Auto VI – The Album will launch alongside the game, and it is stacked.

They also dropped 6 new songs from the album:

  • Yung Lean – That’s It (feat. Future & Metro Boomin)
  • Travis Scott – RHYNO (prod. by Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo)
  • CA7RIEL & Paco Amoroso, PinkPantheress, Fred again.. & Etienne de Crécy – Sexy Magic
  • Morgan Wallen – Last Thing You Need
  • Rauw Alejandro – Macacoa 2000
  • Keith Richards – Bright Lights, Big City

Ironically, the game will be digital only at launch, but the album will be available on vinyl and CD at select retailers and is available to pre-order now.

This latest announcement follows Emmy Award-winning actor Stephen Root confirming his involvement in the game in an AP interview.

Root revealed he voices Brian Heder, whom Rockstar Games describes as “a classic drug runner from the golden age of smuggling in the [Leonida] Keys,” a fictional take on the Florida Keys. “Still moving product through his boat yard with his third wife, Lori, Brian’s been around long enough to let others do his dirty work.”

Our hype for this game keeps rising.
