Yung Miami stopped by The Morning Hustle ahead of her album Watch Dis, which drops October 23rd, and she came ready. On the music side, Yung Miami released two singles at once, “F You” and “2008,” to be “disruptive.” She calls “2008” a hood record inspired by Jeezy, the Snowman she grew up listening to in Miami.

She confirmed that she and Kodak Black apologized to each other and moved past their old issues. Lil Baby, Quavo, and the Quality Control camp? She calls them family.

When it comes to Caresha balancing work with health, she say now she works out five days a week. She also uses a meal prep service offered through her gym to stay on track while she works. Studio sessions happen mostly in Atlanta, away from home distractions. Her formula is a nap first, dark lights, and recording completely solo. “My energy gotta be good,” she explained, because that energy shows up on the record.

Her adult drinking card game, Resha Roulette, grew out of her love for hosting game nights. Fair warning: some cards are strictly for grown folks.

She also addressed Lisa Raye’s viral criticism of “Spend Dat,” a song whose video pays homage to The Players Club. She also admitted she reads her comments, including Twitter trolls telling her to “get a CDL,” the meme urging women rappers to quit music and drive trucks. Miami doesn’t seemed concerned with naysayers as she awaits for her debut solo album.
