While Cyberleek is still out here trying to spoil Grand Theft Auto 6 after his crypto scheme flopped, Rockstar Games dropped the launch trailer for the highly anticipated game, and it’s packed with new details.
Surprise, we got another look at Grand Theft Auto 6 ahead of its locked-in November 19 release date. Unlike the other trailers, there were no teases or indications this was coming, but here we are.
We Learn Jason’s Motives In Grand Theft Auto 6’s Launch Trailer
In the new trailer, which will likely air on television and before movies in theaters, further signaling that the game’s promotional machine is fully revved up, we quickly learn why Jason, one of the game’s protagonists, chose a life of crime.
“I got in trouble in the army. Didn’t leave on the best of terms. They don’t give loans or anything to people like me,” Jason says in the 1:30 trailer.
The trailer also teases plenty of gunplay, car driving, crimes being committed, and, shockingly, steamy shower sex between Jason and his partner Lucia, further cementing that they are a couple and possibly teasing that this game will feature intimate moments that could put GTA V’s “hot coffee” mod to shame.
It was also hilarious to see Lucia still wearing her ankle monitor while Jason showers with her.
Like other GTA game trailers, this one also features music, a new song from the electronic duo Justice, who also scored Grand Theft Auto 6. The new track is called “Flower in a Hurricane,” and it features Tame Impala, SZA, and King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard, and it will live on the companion album that will be dropped alongside the game.
The launch trailer follows a GamesBeat report claiming GTA 6 is coming to PC in the first quarter of 2027.
As you can imagine, the latest trailer only adds to the massive hype around this game. You can see those reactions below.
